Michael D. Banov M.D.
Dr. Banov is the medical director of Northwest Behavioral Medicine and Northwest Behavioral Research Center. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and specializes in behavioral medicine and psychiatry. He completed his training at Harvard Medical School, McLean-Massachusetts General Hospital and was an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard before returning to Atlanta. He is the medical director of Northwest Behavioral Medicine with special interests in psychopharmacology and management of treatment-refractory psychiatric disorders.
Clinical interests also include mood, anxiety, and thought disorders as well as attention deficit disorders in adolescents and adults. He completed medical school at Emory University and an internship in Internal Medicine at Boston University hospital. He has authored numerous research papers on new psychiatric medications and is actively involved in ongoing research studies.
