John P. Shallcross, Psy.D.

Background:
Dr. Shallcross is a licensed clinical psychologist. He has been practicing psychology since 1987.

Bio:
He received his doctoral degree at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. He received a Master’s degree from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr Shallcross provides individual, couples, and family psychotherapy and psychological testing (including personality assessment, differential diagnosis, and neuropsychological screening) with adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. He is currently in private practice and is associated with a number of area hospitals including Peachford BHS, Anchor BHS, Dekalb Medical Center, Atlanta Medical Center, Floyd Medical Center and Ridgeview Institute. He is currently an Independent Psychologist Consultant with a number of number of private insurance companies reviewing short and long term disability mental and nervous claims and medical necessity. He serves as a Medical Expert Witness for the Social Security Administration and has performed Psychological Consultative Examinations for the Georgia Department of Human Resources.
