I am a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for working with adolescents and adults working to manage intense emotions, distressing events in their lives, or difficulties in relationships. I began working with adolescents and their parents in the residential treatment facility setting during an internship in my final year of graduate school for social work. Through this experience, I developed a passion for working with teens and their families during vulnerable, unpredictable and desperate times. After graduation, I provided counseling and supportive services to children and families before joining a team of skilled DBT clinicians in a psychiatric residential treatment setting. While in this role, I was able to expand my knowledge and understanding of DBT treatment and develop my skills in both the residential and outpatient settings, leading to the opportunity to join a private practice. These opportunities have since grown further, as has my focus of working with adults in their individual treatment and journey to living a life free of emotional suffering.
Allyse works with adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, life-threatening behaviors, and emotional and behavioral effects of trauma. Allyse also specializes in working with families to manage their own emotions in caring for children and adolescents with challenging emotional and behavioral needs. Allyse enjoys working with clients to develop skills and strategies to create sustainable change and balance acceptance in their lives.
