Northwest Behavioral Medicine (NBM) was founded in 1995 to provide comprehensive outpatient treatment options for individuals, couples, and families across age ranges experiencing mental health problems. Our model is based on a multidisciplinary approach in which psychiatrists, clinical nurse specialists, psycholgists, social workers, and licensed professional counselors work together to help people heal. We work with a variety of problems including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, anxiety, thought disorders, marriage difficulties, family discord, attention deficit disorder, and stress management.

We also have a clinical medication research program in which we work with pharmaceutical companies to develop new therapies for psychiatric conditions that require drug treatment. Our medical detox program is designed for those with narcotic/pain medication dependance who need a private, confidential outpatient option to safely withdraw from their drugs of abuse. We also provide behavioral therapies for children and adults with learning difficulties and attention deficit disorder, intensive psychoanalytic psychotherpy, cognitive-behavioral counseling, and short term therapy.

Our psychiatrists work with therapists in the community to provide specialized medication evaluation and treatment. We also work with other physicians in the community to perform medication consultations to assist them in treating those suffering from psychiatric problems who prefer to have their own physican manage their medicine or may not be able to regularly see a psychiatrist.

NBM has consistently received high marks from the mental health community, medical community, state mental health advocacy groups, and insurance providers. We will continue to strive to provide the best treatment possible in todays health care environment and incorporate the lastest therpeutic options when they become available. Let us know how we can help you.
